The Trails Collection by Kincaid is inspired by the pinnacle of cohesive design – nature. The collection blends textures, colours, and materials found in the great outdoors in a way that is uniquely suited to Kincaid. For instance, the natural texture and form of a tree is evident in a bed post; or how the gray colour of rocks in a riverbed blend against their surroundings; or where the finish of a table mimics the sandy tones of sediment along a trail. Regionally, Trails takes cues from the rich earth tones found along the Appalachian Trail to the lighter shades of the trails around Santa Cruz or the tapestry of colours found fishing along the headwaters of the colourado River.

Care & Cleaning/Care of Finish - Finishes are naturally resistant to minor everyday hazards or accidents, however, some precautions are necessary to maintain the beauty of wood furniture. (1) Dust with soft cloth slightly moistened with water. Always rub in the direction of the wood grain. (2) Do not place beverages directly on furniture. (3) Furniture should not be placed in direct sunlight. (4) Remove any spills or smudges immediately.
It's been said that "things aren't made the way they used to be," but at Kincaid, that's not exactly true. While several enhancements have been made since our beginnings in 1946, we still use solid wood construction, english dovetails, and hand rubbed finishes to craft our wood furniture. And the same can be said for our upholstery. Over the past 30 years, our upholstery operations in western North Carolina have built quality, bench made upholstery one piece at a time. And like Kincaid's solid wood furniture, the upholstery has also benefited from a number of enhancements that continue to add value for the customer.
At Kincaid Furniture, things are made the way they used to be, they may even be a little better.
